Some of our hyperthyroid cat patients have unique physical or emotional needs that result in them benefiting from more spacious accommodations than the Snyder Cat Cottages we provide for the majority of our patients. These cats are housed in large, enclosed, inside cat runs that provide approximately 5 times the floor space of the smaller Cat Cottages. The larger size of these enclosures allow extra large cats more space during their hospitalization for radioiodine therapy. The larger size of these enclosures also provide fearful, cage protective cats the added distance they need to feel secure while we interact with their environment to replenish food, clean liter boxes, etc. Unfortunately these extra large accommodations do not currently have iCat webcams installed.
